I have 4k miles on EP 0w20 in the 3 and the engine is much more quiet than it was on the high VI Mazda OE 0w20. fwiw

I plan on going about 7,500 miles and taking a sample. I have to see if they have a fumoto drain valve for this car.

My personal experience: same grade different brands made no different in term of noise, gas mileage, throttle respond ... But different grade such as from xW40 to xW20 the engine in my E430 seems to be quieter and other advantages are better MPG, better throttle respond and the car seems to accelerate faster.

Obviously M1 is an excellent oil, so if it works smooth and quiet in your engine, then stick with it b/c there's no doubt it's doing a good job protecting.
