Those are cute but are the little butane cylinders cost effective?

We have 16.4 oz propane "bombs" stateside for portable cooking, but they're bigger.

The little blue Weller bottles are $20-$25, the camping ones are about double the size and $14...Stove and hose/regulator another $60.

the butane stove is $15,and 4 cylinders is maybe $6...my parents/inlaw use them for travelling, and making a cup of tea, soup, light lunch at a pretty spot on the road. The little camlock style stove is really very much easier for the average punter than a camp stove...like McDs is easier than a burger shop.

It's no probs here, as I refill the small propane tanks anyway...saves $10 per...

Just can't go back the other way to running a simple stove, off a bug spray can.

It's the cans of butane that is the target

I like those little butane canisters, but I wouldn't use them to boil anybody.

They must think their own general population a is stupid if they are worried about "safety."

Testing, undertaken at the request of NSW Fair Trading and other State gas regulators, has found a fault with the cookers’ shut-off valves, posing a risk that the devices may overheat and could explode
