The other day while inspecting my brake upgrade I found a leaking CV boot. I had a small puncture wound that I assume is from replacing my struts awhile ago.

I placed my order for this expecting junk.

And got this

Was surprised and very happy to see an Empi boot, they don't get much better than that.

I pulled the joint out of the hub and attempted to remove the joint in-car, but I just could not get a good enough swing. After draining the MTF into a clean pan I pulled the shaft and replaced the boot.

New boot installed. Tomorrow I will reinstall the shaft.

The other end looks good still. The shaft is only two years old and was only leaking because I damaged it. The other shaft is still in good shape as well.

I've used EMPI packaged (most likely repackaged) boots for the past 25 yrs, and the performance (when compared to the original factory boots) has been exemplary....lasts just as long, if not longer than factory OEM boots (Japanese made vehicles, which typically comes with NOK supplied CV shaft assemblies).

Use it with confidence.
