I bought 12 quarts on clearance and figured it was a good use of one of my $6 Wix analysis kits. This will be going into a BMW R-bike in the spring.

This is a race oil that can be used for street vehicles. The "non street legal" labeled oil is the one that is a straight up, no holds barred, race oil. I've done quite a bit of research on this before implementing it in place of my traditional T6 in my gas engines.

^^This. Valvoline confirmed this with me as well. VR1 (street legal version) can be used in a daily driver car.

I have used the VR1 in my 2002 R1150RS for the last 40K miles. The engine is still perfectly clean. The valve clearance never changes. Over 100K now. Good Oil. Who has a sale, I am almost out.

I haven't seen it on sale since 2013 when I got mine.

I use it my 2011 R1200R also. My "sale stash" is about used up.
