Anyone have a link where I can get Winrar for free? Wanting to put it on my laptop to open flac files. I want to make sure I go after one that's not from a rogue site.
I was under the impression that the "normal" shareware version isn't crippleware, even after the nominal expiry date. Is this no longer the case? Technically, RAR for the MS command line has some sort of free license, and isn't even shareware.
my fav for extracting .rar archives, is ExtractNow. Free, but not opensource, it's one guys creation/Hobby, and right in the FAQ he says he won't release the code.
For what it's worth, Universal Extractor is a really versatile utility. It only extracts files, but covers almost everything from zip & rar to MS install files, exe, and more obscure UHA archives. There is a portable version available.
