I noticed when going over the blue car the other day I was getting leakage around my Amsoil EAA in the airbox on one side.
I was trying to think of how I could make a tighter seal on this portion.
I have some 3M silicone lube. (The white stuff in the jar)
Do you think this would work? Or would it damage the filter seal?

My other I dea was to lay a bead of RTV in the gutter that the filter seals to and letting it dry open, so that the filter isnt glued to it, but so its thicker there.

Its not really a issue that will be solved by buying a different filter. They all have the same size gasket. It seals good on the side with the metal clamps, but the other side of the lid just fits into some slots and that is the side I can see the leakage.

I've used foam door insulation/weather stripping tape cut to size to fix small gaps in air filter to housing mating surfaces. It's less messy than grease.

While silicon Id agree with, it has little to do with silicone grease.

Yes, it is about the only thing I ever use anymore from that company.
