I wonder it will prevent the pump case wear thru problem on GM. I was thinking of using a heavy GL5 gear oil similar to what is used in a diff to prevent wear through.

Fluids won't prevent pump rub but might delay it. Install the repair kit and use a full synth fluid. I'm not sure that you'd would want to strain the pump with a sae250 gear oil ;-)

Was looking for Valv 0w40 when the TC fluid caught my eye. Didn't notice the price.

I recently replaced the AutoTrak II fluid in my Trailblazer. I think it only took a quart or two. The fluid wasn't that expensive from NAPA. Considering I spent less than $20 on the fluid change, I guess I'd rather have the real deal fluid than a multivehicle fluid that fits for the bill for several different applications.

Anybody have any experience with this in a Silverado transfer case yet? I'm going to change out the fluid next weekend and was going to use the ACDelco Auto-Trak II but with this being full synthetic it caught my eye.
