Just thought I'd share some rebranding fun.
My truck has the original engine oil drain plug, and I noticed during the last oil change this past weekend that the integrated seal didn't look so good.
The Dorman aftermarket replacements change it from a 5/8ths head to a 16mm head, and the gasket doesn't look as good. I wanted a plug good for 13 years like the original.
I thought about calling the Ford dealer we use for our body shop, but decided to try the Mazda dealer in our franchise first...sure enough, a plug for a B3000 was in stock...
The date on the label from the Mazda distribution center is only from a couple days ago, and I did not special order this, so it is something on their stock order. I guess a lot of B3000 owners think they need to go to the Mazda dealer for oil changes.
At less than $1.65, this ended up being the best option.
