I think my car loves this oil!

Great oil, Great UOA and it looks like you could go further before changing it. I'd do 5 or 6K.

I may just stop using synthetic after this stash is depleted.

This newest PYB is probably a synthetic blend anyway, SOPUS has to use up all that GTL product they're generating. OP - very nice results - thanks for posting.

The normal service interval for my moms 2013 Elantra is 7500. Id think yours could easily do that on dino.

Interesting that Canada OCI for the same car is 3,750 miles.
In my 2013 Sonata, I run PYB in the Spring, Summer, Fall and PP in the Winter, just for improved cold start flow.

3750 is the severe usage for the Elantra. Perhaps they anticipated the much colder starts which according to the manual also calls for the "severe" service.

Wow.

That's impressive.

I've always believed that conventional oil protects better than synthetic oils do as far as wear is concerned. They just don't last as long in service.
And by the looks of these reports there's certainly a case for not spending the extra dollars on syn.
Looks great. The wheels will fall off the car before the engine dissolves.

Good to see it doing well.
2010 Hyundai almost 77k, 5k OCIs, OEM filter.
I was using PP, then a few changes of Kendall, now on 2nd OC of PYB.
I like PYB, but would also like to give MS5K a try, just haven't decided yet.

Fantastic UOA's, may be the best I've ever seen for a 5w20 in a Hyundai/KIA.

The oil looks fantastic but man that just seems too thin to me, wear numbers sure don't agree with me though.

With numbers like that why use anything else.

Yeah your right, PYB is a good oil, readily available, reasonable price - why mess with what works fine. The OP UOA numbers are good and many others have had good numbers using PYB too.

Nice report. Why is there no info on flash point?

When I'm buying the oil, I'm tempted to go dyno (PYB or QSAD) especially considering I drain it every 6KKM (Canadian here). Then I think about the NOACK (egr, intake valve being dirty eventually) and scare myself into getting synt. Do you guys care about that?
