20 years ago I saw the locals do that in North Africa, because they didn't have can openers.

Any flat rock will do, and it doesn't have to be smooth. On the dump/in the shanty town there's lots of concrete.

Cool but I keep plenty P-38's from back in my military days.
Couple buck knife's tapped around.
Wouldn't want to lose the fruit cocktail juice or have apple sauce leak out while opening.
