Identify the Location

I remember the area, but was freaked out driving an Aussie designed Camaro, on the wrong side of the road, with better half freaking out every time I nearly hip and shouldered her into a post.

Not far from there...

Shannow, the first picture appears to have been taken off HWY 1 just after Muir Beach. The pillbox is a base-end station. The CA coast is littered with old batteries and base-end stations.

The second picture shows Marshall at Tomales Bay. Nick's Cove was a shooting location for the Bruce Willis movie Bandits.

Since no one is playing, I will reveal the bridge location: It's across the Sacramento River at Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding, CA. The bridge is actually a giant sundial. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and finished in 2004. You can read up on the specs of this fascinating bridge here: http://www.turtlebay.org/sundialbridge

I took the picture along the Bolinas Ridge Roadthat winds through the coastal range of Marin above Stinson Beach. The road offers great viewpoints and overlooks along a several miles long stretch of road. The water in the foregound is Bolinas Bay, which was created by and is part of the San Andreas Fault. Excluded from the picture, to the left would be Stinson Beach. The "finger of land" reaching out into the Pacific in the background is the westernmost part of the Point Reyes Peninsula, which is some 7 miles away as the crow flies or an hour by car.

Magnifique! That whole area is beautiful!

I found the drive to Point Reyes Lighthouse from Point Reyes Station a somewhat surreal experience. Is it just me or would you agree?

I'd say the drive is a somewhat surreal experience. Glad you got to see it. I don't know if you went to Pierce Point Ranch on the northern tip of the peninsula, but that place looks like straight out of Silent Hill, especially when it's foggy. There are also always lots of elks. Great place, Point Reyes. I like to go for a stroll on Drake's Beach and hope to find some doubloons!

Here are two shots from the Pierce Point Ranch, which is a rather creepy place in the fog. Who wants to go exploring those buildings?

Thanks! All images were shot with mirrorless interchangeable lens micro Four Thirds cameras, specifically with the Olympus Pen E-PL1 and the OMD E-M1 with a 12-60 mm vario lens.

In fact, there are a few photos here that look very similar to the photos at the Tom Mutzek ph0tography website.

And a couple of the photographs here are the same as at Tom M (moribundman) Photobucket. Moribundman was a guy who was banned for life at this wesite.

At the Tom M (moribundman) Photobucket website, there is a guy in a costume walking on a pier. There is a guy in that exact same costume in photos at the Tom Mutzek photography website.

Go to sets at the photography-by-Thomas photography website, and there is a guy wearing a moose costume. Then check out the costume the guy is wearing at the Tom M (moribundman) Photobucket website.
