We've got a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with a 2.4.
I think the manual states OCIs at 3,750 miles for severe and 7,500 miles for normal driving.

I hope your buddy didnt just jeopardize the factory warranty.

Didn't shear much considering the amount of fuel!

I can't wait to see the long term effects of the fuel in these DI engines.

You definitely ran it too long. Fuel, flash, insols, all at condemnation limits.

This is why you really need oxidation, nitration, sulfation, etc. numbers to really know.

My opinion is the UOA looks pretty good. Fuel is a little high but not uncommon in this vehicle. Oil held in fine. TBN is still good. No reason it could not go further on the oil but I believe he is planning on sticking to the 7500 - 8000 mile changes.

I was hoping for less fuel because i bought my optima around the same time and i showed no fuel in my sample. Not sure if its driving habits or something else. Also noticed copper creeping up there a little.

Overall decent report with no indications of any problems.

It would be nice to have details on usage. Like temperature of use, length of transports, city, highway, idling. Drive type - Spirited vs. Hypermile.
