Looks like Elite Motorsports has Valvoline for a sponsor this season. Saw it on her car and team mates car last night while watching qualifying. Wonder what happened to Royal Purple?

$$$$!Valvoline paid more than RP simple as that. Either oil will do the job with the number of runs between tear down and rebuild. Very common thing in the racing world.

Just because a team is getting money from one company doesn't mean that's what is going in the engine. Only the perception that is going in the engine because the name is on the side of the car.

If the hot ticket is Redline 10w, then that is what they are running.

I had a friend was a Super Stock Racer! That all i`am Said!!

It doesn't mean they use their product, really all they are doing is advertising for their sponsor.
Years ago Valvoline sponsored me, but I really used Pennzoil 25-50 racing oil.

Where would a Nascar car running a Tide detergent decal use that product?

Why didn't you use the Valvoline? Was the Pennzoil better? Just asking...

The Pennzoil had a more robust additive package, whether or not is was any better, in hindsight I don't know.
I used the Valvoline in other vehicles I had at the time.

Powered Tide makes a great asphalt cleaner. Remember the Daytona 500 when JPM took out the jet truck?

From what I have seen most of the Top Fuel guys use Redline.
