Hello,

I'm don't know much about oils but I always buy the oil that has the correct specifications for my engine and has the right price.

I got 20 litres of Total 5w40 quartz 9000 energy and going to start to use it for a bargain.

Before I used Castrol 5w40 fully synthetic (But from reading hear it's more or less a blend).

Well my engine is still running great after 470000 km (292k miles).

Should I still just go for specs and the right price oils for great longevity or should I start using the the Castrol Highmilage 5w-40?

It has been running spec oils all this times fully synthetic, would it be wise to change oil now?

I change oil two times a year because I it's my commute vehicle also.

I would appreciate a answer, been thinking about this for a while.:)

If you engine is still running well then stay with what is working. You have a lot of miles on your car so it sounds like you are in great shape. If its been running synthetic then stay with it. Seems the spec oil has treated you well.

Ok thank you, then I will continue to use cheap oils with the right specification.
