Synthetic vs regular oil mix

Problem is, when you blend, you're really not quite sure if the particular basestocks, balanced with boron, titanium, moly, calcium additives and ester/PAO/VIIpolymer content are going to work well with another oil's particular combination.

Additives, in certain combinations, have tribofilm surface competition. That said, it might not be bad. You just don't know.

The oil companies and an overwhelming amount of positive UOA and UOA comments from the professionals conducting said UOA have estableshed that mixing is not bad. Now, is the end product as good as the best oil you bring to the mix? No, I have no question it isn't. But I don't doubt it's better than the conventional either. Again, as Shannow has established though, we won't know one way or the other unless the testing is done. So everyone's opinion on this topic holds true.

Yep, it may be the exact blend that Red Bull Racing uses in their formula 1 cars for all we know...and we will never know... just saying what it "might" be

In that case, Vettel needs to stop mixing and let Ricciardo do it for him. Wait, almost forgot, Vettel's at Ferrari now
