Good reduction of iron and aluminum versus the PYB. The TBN is still quite high--any particular reason for changing it?

no, just what i was doing almost 5 years ago. thought that was the best for it. and knew of the gamble to switch that late, so i documented it.
 
Yes that is the SM version of PYB but it was still a top tier conventional at that time as well.

Look at the miles. The PYB had 9000 miles on it. The Amsoil runs were less than half that according to the odo miles.
Yet miles in use states different numbers.

If we go by the miles I use then yes it's significant however if we follow the miles on odo values Amsoil fared much worse.
Maybe the op will clear up the confusion I'm experiencing with the inputs.

Seems the filter was changes on the 9,000 Amsoil uoa but then at 12,000 the oil was changed? Seem like something I would do????? None were really bad for the miles

correct, I was worried about the synthetic cleaning the engine and loading up the filter.
