I am trying to figure out which bulb to buy for my 96 Grand Marquis. It is the light that comes on when the turn signal is on and it lights up the side for better view of the curb. Not sure what they call this bulb.

No, these are much larger and brighter than a 194. I think they're a small halogen bulb similar to those used in fog lights. These "cornering lights" are like a headlight that faces sideways and comes on with the turn signal. Ford put these on several vehicles in the 90s,particularly Lincoln and Mercury models.

Edit: I just looked it up at Auto Zone, and it's apparently just a standard 3156 bulb.

Misunderstood. You were talking about the turn signal housing. I thought you were talking about a side marker.
