what would cause rpm to not climb above 2700 without stuttering and wistling..sprayed either over intake and vacuum lines no leaks. could the fuel filter or cats be stop[ed up haven't checked them yet..

My 97' Camry had a loud whistling sound and low power. I sold it but I think the catalytic converter was clogged. Do you know if the sound is under the hood? If it's the exhaust have someone rev the engine while you're back at the tailpipe.

That's the Vulcan engine. Its a fairly simple engine.

If that one has the 2 sets of cats on the exhaust.. sometimes the front one disintegrates and clogs the rear one.

He should have 5 of them.

It has clogged pre-cats and/or main cats. My truck had the exact same symptoms.

Walker direct fit is the best choice for the y-pipe and is reasonably priced. I had fitment issues with Magnaflow and ended up using Walker.
