This was in a 1995 Ford Thunderbird for approximately 7000 miles. The canister was very tough, ADV was nice and pliable, and the filter media was in excellent condition with strong pleats and minimal waviness.

That's what I was thinking. Looks great!

i have used them for over 20 years at the shop and used to love them we stopped using them because of the purolator tearing and wavvvy media issue (they are purolators)
that filter by the looks of the oil and filter looks like it has under 3000 miles on it but you say it has about 7000 miles so who am i to dispute that.
thank you for posting

They are made by Purolator

My Family Owns a Garage in Michigan and we been using Group7 Oil Filters for over 20 years and never have had 1 oil filter related problem / failure / come back..

Group 7 are ussually bought in BULK... I know in our SHOP we would stock nearly 100 and many different kinds and each 2 weeks the part guy would drive up and restock the spark plugs and wiper Blades and certain things we keep in the part area of the Garage.... Even some brakes.

Thank for the pics.

G7, ProMotive both Puro 'made for' jobber filters. At 7k I'll agree with OP, the media looks excellent. G7 looks very similar to a Classic though not quite as high an efficiency rating. Wondering about oci time frame?

And another very solid Puro anecdote at respectable oci that challenges the anti puro paradigm. So the inevitable it seems, duplicitous comment regarding the stated oci/fci.

No disputing though, a 7k oci on a jobber tier filter, as member simple_gifts noted in the past, you won't getting invited to the honeycomb hideout with this one.

Thanks for cutting and posting.
