I'm liking these numbers, car was run almost daily in Detroit through last years awful winter, then sporadically used all spring summer and fall. 1qt top off about 1/3 qt at a time, last top off (emptied the 5qt jug) around the 7000 mile mark. I suspect high silicon may be related to installing a new (presumably silicone) fel pro rubber valve cover gasket, with two dabs of RTV where the chaincase meets the block, just before I changed it last. Same filter (stock size denso) both runs

Too thick. Try the suggested viscosity. It'll run better with more pep. Could be the difference between taking a 10 speed off the line or not.

Try mixing half of that Mobil 1 0W40 with half Toyota Genuine 0w20 and you'll notice a difference.

I run this car hard, it gets fed the oil it's specced for when running it hard (euro spec lotus). I think we even went over this last time I posted a UOA. People went quiet after I pulled the data and found M1 0w40 to more or less match the cold viscosity curve of the late 90s 5w30 dino juice the manual says to feed it.
