Out: 5 qts ecopower 10w30, 1 qt gasoline

In: 5 qts syntec 20w50.

Carb was running super rich and flooding the engine. Got it rebuilt and working good now!

Same oil pressure with the 20w50 as 10w30.

Out: mobil clean 5000 5w20 with kreen (800 miles on it) and parts master filter

In: mobil 1 ep 0w20 with fl820s motorcraft filter

Also changed front differential to mobil syn 75w90 and rear to 75w140. Transfer case to havoline mercon v

'01 Focus, about 101K car, about 3.2K and six months oil.

Out: Synpower 10W-30, AAP Total Grip filter

In: Meijer full syn 5W-20, Motorcraft filter

Wanted to get the 10W-30 out before real cold arrived, although the 10W-30 Synpower was okay on the three 10F mornings it saw this fall. No trouble starting and no unusual noises.

Another pretty winter day so I squeezed in a couple of oil changes.

2011 Toyota Land Cruiser - 8 qts of PU 5W-20 and an OEM Toyota filter

2010 Toyota Camry - 5 qts of Peak 5W-20 dino and a Microgard filter (old style FRAM Extra Guard clone)

Should take care of everything until spring.

Ha I was needlessly alarmed when I drove the AFM truck home new at its 'low' pressure (compared to other LSs and SBCs I've owned/driven).

Produced ~25-psi at hot 550-rpm idle but only ~35 during highway cruise.
Swapped out the FF asap with 0W-40 and picked up 5 psi on the freeway (idle remained essentially the same).

It's never had any other viscosity in it since then.

Thing loves this oil. I change 5k-7k depending on what I've been doing, but this time I'm on 8500 miles. Seems good and clean still, so why not...
