I have had the tendency of buying which ever oil/filter combo is on sale. With the Purolator filter my pressure fluctuates with engine RPM and with K&N it just stays higher.
My vehicle has a oil pressure gauge on the dash without any PSI markings, and I'm not sure it's accurate in any kind of way, but it definitely moves around with Puro and not with K&N. Have tried Puro before and after K&N. It was not just one filter.
Is this normal? Which would be preferred? I'm assuming the higher pressure.
Vehicle : 2006 Jeep Wrangler with 4.0L I6 ~120k Miles
Filter A : "Purolator PureONE Oil Filter" Part No. PL14670
Filter B :K&N HP-2004
