Cold pumpability of Group 4 base stock oil

I distinctly remember reading a post on here. Said "The cold flow properties of Group IV oil is not so great." Any truth to this? Can we go more in-depth?

I believe this was in a thread about Royal Purple oil. Opinions aside.. their 0W-20 has been great for me.

How can 0W have bad cold flow?

Illustrating a a difference between GrIII and PAO, specifically in two basestocks that have the same VII (i.e. KV40/KV100, VI is a calculated not property in it's own right)

The demonstrated PAO would probably get by a 0W test unaided...the GrIII would need help to get there.
