Replacing snugtop camper shell tailgate

Have a snugtop camper shell on a chevy silverado. The tailgate glass broke, how does one replace it - at a glass shop or do you have to go to the dealer to replace the entire tailgate assembly?

Personally don't know, but if it was me, I'd go to my friendly neighborhood glass shop and ask them if they can do it

Go top a glass shop. If they are good they will do wonders.

I called 3 auto glass places, the windshield types and none of them wanted to do it. Weird.

I'd be tempted to take a whack at using plexiglass. If regular glass broke once, I'd think decent odds of breaking again.

Go to a glass shop not auto glass. They likely will change auto glass along with doing anything else.
