Sorry for the [censored] pics...phone was dying so no flash....2004 f250 service truck 5.4 2V 254K.......this oil and filter has 5600 miles on it...10w30 conventional fleet oil....filled it back up with same and an auto extra 51372 which is a low end wix\napa silver identical to this one...noticed a little gritty stuff in bottom of can...feels kinda like plastic....probably timing chain guide material..engine has never been opened/touched...runs great.

Looks good. Probably one of my favorites in terms of cost vs. construction next to MC filters. I just wish my Jeep liked them.

Ohhhh, it has the combo valve. I don't trust those, although obviously it didn't blow your engine up or anything. I've been using the MGL51036 on my van. It's a GM 4.3, so it doesn't have a bypass. The last one I cut open looked fine, after almost 7000 miles.

Looks as if it did the job

they are better filters now.

I think they basically used to be FRAM Extra guards and now they are NAPA SILVER
