I can't give any statements on Mobil 1 since I've never purchased it.
I see very little difference between PQIA's test results of 5W-30
Pennzoil Platinum and 5W-30
Pennzoil Platinum with PurePlus Technology.
Those results can be copied & pasted to MS Excel FYI.
Moly changed by 4 ppm (7%), from 59 to 55, probably well within batch-to-batch blending variations.
Phosphorous is the only statistically significant change, up 100 ppm (15%), from 651 to 751, but remember there is a sample size = 1 for both these variants in the PQIA data. This may be a change in additive package for the GTL base or may well be within batch-to-batch blending variations. Hard (at least for me) to say without a larger sample set.
The PQIA data for 5W-30
Quaker State Ultimate Durability is ver similar to their 2013 5W-30 Pennzoil Platinum sample.
The only fully synthetic 5W-20 data available at this time on PQIA is
Havoline and it's most noteworthy attribute compared to the other 5W-20's tested is the significantly lower viscosity at -30°C.

I hope this helps somewhat.
I'm currently running 5W-20 Pennzoil Platinum with PPT in my 2012 Ram 5.7L because I bought two 5 quart jugs of it at Walmart to get both the $10 rebate per jug by mail and the FRN rewards from Pennzoil. I also purchased 18 quarts of QSUD 5W-20 from Menard's when it was $1.99 / quart after sale price and rebate last month, for future use.
