Help me pick out the best oil and filter

This popped up just a few days ago..

Turns out the best oil for you wallet is the cheapest one
Best for e environment is recycled & biodegradable
Best for your truck is Redline.

If you just want 'acceptable' and not 'best' then any name you recognise on the shelf at Walmart will be fine.

When in doubt, OEM filter. The AC Delco is cheap and well made.
As for oil, an inexpensive conventional 5w30 changed every 6 months is all you need. I like the Mobil Super line of products because they are cheap and perform above and beyond what is needed. The Warren Distribution blended house brand oils are also very good, cost effective options.
