PF63 cut open, off 2011 Traverse, coolant leak???

I had a 2008 Acadia (sister car) and I remember reading on several websites of the horrors of this engine/OCI combination. I ran PP in it and changed the oil at 5K intervals (ignored the OLM--but these have been better tuned in later models) and it looked **new** inside when I traded it in at 96K for my FX4. In retrospect, since I did trade it, it probably would not have mattered what I did, but the dealer did use a camera to look inside the valve cover. The UOA will tell you for sure what is happening in the engine with regards to a coolant leak. I hope that a leak is not the case for your friend's sake. Fighting with a dealer is never a fun time...
