Castrol Guru's whats the difference between these?

Just wanted to know if anyone knows the difference between these 2 oils, besides one being extended and dexos approved. Do these both contain titanium etc?

only reason im asking is because i got some of the professional oe from a buddy of mine then saw the extended at walmart and was curious to know what the different.

The OE is thicker. It also has a reduced add pack in order to meet some of the modern diesel engine specs such as BMW LL-04 and MB 229.51.

so is there really any advantage to either of these? it would be going in a Toyota or honda

Edge Pro OE is a Euro oil with high-HTHS. It is targeted at diesels but can be used in gassers. I would not run it in a Toyota or Honda unless you're getting it for free.

my buddys been getting the OE 5w30 for free for awhile now and runs it in his K20 honda with no issues. Should he not be? he only runs his oil for 3k miles (yes i know its too short)

Since Castrol OE 5w30 is made for ultra low sulfur fuels, and gasoline in the USA is not ultra low sulfur, it may make sense to change it early.
