How good is Motul X-Clean?

Does anybody use the stuff? I know it is a bit pricey, but I am deciding on what type of oil to use on my wife's diesel BMW. I started another thread asking questions about pentosin oil. Through my research I have come across Motul x-clean which also gets the BMW LL04 rating. The weight I am interested in is a 5W 40. Does anyone have experience with this brand of oil? Is it a better oil than most? I try doing a search and I found a few positive things but nothing specific for BMWs

I never tried it when I had my 335d. M1 ESP and dealer Castrol SLX were too cheap. Don't forget BMW is moving to Shell next year. GTL LL04 should be available.

A good quality C3 oil, just like the rest of the same spec oils. I'm sure Mobil offer something similar for less money in USA.

The only comparable Mobil oil would be the esp 5w-40 but locally (pep boys), that stuff goes for about $11 or so per quart. It's even more expensive than The dealers Castrol which I get for less than $7 per quart.
