I don't have TBN/TAN yet. This is textbook performance. If the wear metals were any lower I would suspect a lab error.

Ford's 5.0 is a winner...and the GT-1 seems to be a good match.

Just an awesome report...as usual.

What else is there to say?

Hey AITG, did you get a tbn/tan result for last sample? You mentioned that you didn't have it "yet", so I wondered if you were getting it and maybe have it now?

Great reports you have, regardless.

Actually I forgot all about it until now. I'm sure the sample is long gone. Next time.

Kendall GT-1 is a sleeper synthetic IMHO. I ran the 0w20 for 30k miles over a few OCI and it turned out great UOA results. The TBN was 2.7 for me after 7k miles so its TBN retention is good.

I believe it is too. Great oil IMO.

Congrats on a nice report. I love the 5.0 too. I'm running Mobil 1 in mine. Do you get any mild piston slap when the engine is cold? I get a very mild thumping. The Mobil 1 seems to have quieted it.

No worse than my old 2003 Yukon with a 5.3. I got a cup of coffee at a drive thru window a month ago and could hear a slight thump reflected off the building. I rolled up the window and couldn't hear it.
