I'd say that those people represent the minority on BITOG. I think most folks here, demonstrated by the replies in this thread, place little value on any single additive when it comes to lubricant suitability. 1) It's available everywhere for a reasonable price.
2) It's generally regarded as a very resilient oil that withstands severe duty.
3) It's available in both 10W-30 and 15W-40, both grades being very relevant to small engine service.
You're in Pennsylvania, where it doesn't get too terribly hot; if your engine calls for 10W-30, my oil of choice would be Rotella T5 10W-30.
