If Honda don't I will be the first to give them stick but keep in mind
Honda's race bred V4 4 strokes were never designed to be affordable
for the masses... because if you want affordability Honda will sell
you a CBR street bike... Honda's race bred V4s are design to be a
affordable race platform in 3 different venues WSBK IOM and World
Endurance... the limited number to homologate for racing WSBK is 500
World Wide... MotoGp has no current homologation rule...
NSR500V was last pure race Gp machine Honda offered to the public in
1996... it was a serious gesture to help fill the shrinking Gp grid in the
premier class... my friend Stephen in the UK sold his RC45 and now owns a
2001 spec NSR500V...
The "stupidly expensive" ones the press dubbed during their respective
releases... perhaps now they don't seem so stupid or expensive???
1990 RC30 $15K (currently worth $20 to $35K)
1994 RC45 $27.5K (currently worth $26 to $29K)
1996 NSR500V $100K (currently worth $68K)
2015 RC213VS about $250K USD
1996 NSR500V
Larry,
I never said anything about the cost of the RC213VS.
I only stated: Is Honda finally going to sell this bike?
