LCD tv half gray...

My 32" Olevia (Emerson/Funai from what I've learned so far) LCD TV has given me about 4 years of good service. Recently the left half of the screen (as you're watching it) looks like a gray fog has obscured the image. I was able to wiggle the case around and got it to reset itself momentarily. Right now my plan of attack is to disassemble the back and clean all the connectors I find with Deoxit to see if it's a bad connection. Anything else I should look for in fixing this?

I'm not an Electrician, but I would watch out for Capacitors.
I believe their small components that store electricity.

You most likely have cold solder joint

Arcing on the HV backlight connections.

My 40 inch insignia lcd tv was 249 dollars.

Don't spend too much time or money on yours.

I think I've narrowed it down to a T-con board. Now to snipe Ebay for a cheap one to get this thing back up and running.
