It would be normal if it was a new lawn mower, snow blower or generator air cooled engine dumping it's factory fill after 5 hours or less. New automotive engines should not exhibit evidence of metal in the oil

Why is it "normal" for an air cooled engine and not an automotive engine? Whats the difference, are the air cooled engines built in dirty little sweat shops or what?
