Phone typing. Went into high sierras.
Lots of turns. Hills braking
Under 35 mph starting a light left turn. Driver s side brake starts squeaking when not even braking. Straight. No squeak. Right turn. No squeak.

Brakes function ing very well otherwise. They got serious workout descending from 7000 ft today. Have not noticed squeak here at 230 feet above sea level.

ideas?

Sometimes same tempo tone volume squeak when braking lightly at slow.speed.

No squeak anytime over 35 mph

kinda useless to speculate without knowing anything about the car or its maintenance history.

3/4 ton dodge van. Late 80s vintage.
Brembo rotors new last year. Very low miles. New skf bearings. Bendix titanium mettalic 2 pads.

older reman'd calipers kinda loose In Retainers.
all new retainer hardware recently replaced.

Rear drums all new springs/hardware kit installed.

Brakes work great. Getting expected or higher than expected mpgs. So major brake dragging
Not suspect

have not been able to replicate squeak down near sea level. Most pronounced at 4500 feet elevation or higher. Was loudest climbing upto 7250.

Squeaking stopped with brake applied except at low speed braking to halt. Going straight at elevation.

Your bearing preload might be incorrect so the rotor could be moving in and out on the spindle causing contact with the pad when turning. The contact would be at a slight angle so it may be causing only part of the pad to touch it which leads to the rotor emitting a sound. The method by which the sound is created would be similar to running your finger on the edge of a wine glass (though the pitch is different because it is a different shape and material.

Just a guess.
