I was looking for a pds for Castrol GTX on the Castrol web site and found three new PDS dated within the last two weeks. They're titled GTX Magnatec and they are for 0w-20, 5w-20 and 10w-30. Looks like they're Dexos approved. Are they just renaming the current GTX Synblend?

The Magnatec molecules are an ester "Unique Molecular Attractant" that preferentially cling to metal surfaces.

US had it before as "start-up" that didn't work as a marketting tool

Yes, I remember several years ago when Castrol had the "Magnetic" and "Start Up". I bought a boatload of it on closeout. These oils are great when on closeout. Closeout meaning... when they don't sell well due to poor marketing. Great Oils!

I will look for it in couple of years on the closeout/discontinued oil shelf at the parts stores.
