When the back half of my Mastiff was in the tail gate area his tail wacked off the short coiled wire on the top that supplies electricity to the rear window defrost grid. It looks like the contact (about the size of an index finger nail) was just glued on there at the factory with pressure sensitive glue. I am glad he did not chew it.

Ideas?

He likes to ride with front feet on back seat and back feet in the tail gate area. AT 140 lbs he can kind of choose where he sits.

It looks like Permatex and Loctite make the exact product. But about 50% of the people do not get it to work. Apparently there are more detailed directions on website than package. Success is a matter of 4 things 1) prep, 2) prep, 3) prep, 4) temp.

Mixed success. Final solution was to crimp a large ring terminal onto a pigtail of 10awg wire.At the contact patch, I slid the terminal under the rubber molding. It held in place way better than the glue. Then I butt spliced the wire to the lead.
