Naked Eye Sunspot Visible

If you have a #14 welders glass or happen to have a solar telescope or a solar filter, there is a HUGE sunspot on the solar surface. It's so large it's visible at 1x magnification, i.e. naked eye.

I do quick checks with a #14. It's only the second naked-eye sunspot I've seen since about 2000.

Without any of the above, your best best is to catch the Sun very low in the horizon during sunset where you can safely look at it. The spot will be obvious naked eye.

To put all into perspective, the round black circle inside the spot is much larger than the Earth!
