I heard that BMW ended their partnership with Castrol, and created a new one with Shell.

I wonder what that did to the Mini division.

Not sure. My wife ordered a Countryman recently. We'll see what's on the oil cap when it comes.

I'm running another pass of RedLine 0w30 in this engine now. Hopefully things will look good again in a few months. I've got a longer daily commute now (>60 mi vs my prior 16 mi commute), which I assume can only help in the cold weather months.
