2008 Jeep Liberty 3.7l

Factory spec is 5w-20

Any reason why I could not use 0w-20 as a winter fill here in PA?

I would use a full syn as well.

Thanks

I use Mobil 1 0W20 in my 08 Liberty, and have been doing so for quite a while. I have no problems to report.

Use 0w20 year-round. I've used M1 0w20 AFE exclusively in my Ram for several years- no loss of oil pressure even when towing a trailer in >100F ambient. 0w20 oils are made from some of the best base stocks out there, I generally prefer them to 5w20 oils.

Thanks all.

I'll probably use Valvoline VV916 SynPower 0W-20.

With a Fram Ultra.

My wife took a new job that is about 10 minutes away from our house and I'll probably change out the oil every 6-7k

Valve train changes, different lash adjusters and updated rocker arms. Also dont, forget an egr valve was added in their somewhere.

But those changes would not have anything to do with oil grade, or would they?

I have 2 of these motors and run 5w-20. but alot of people run 0w-20 without problems.

I got some 0w-20 Valvoline Synpower and a Fram Ultra XG3600.

Going to change it Friday.

Maybe throw in some Liqui Moly MOS2 as well.
