Yes sleddriver. My old obsolete Dell Dimension 3000 just keeps on going, and going, and going. I have two friends who get all excited about new stuff but, I don't, if I have a good running system, car or whatever. There comes a time however, when even I get the itch to move on. Ed

I hear you. I seem to have a knack for keeping all things mechanical & electrical going the distance. There are a few websites, such as the videos on Ask This Old House, that'll get the CPU pulse up quite high. But since I research and read a lot and don't play games, the old stuff works.

NoScript, DISCONNECT and AdBlock+ screens out much of the #$%^!, allowing the content through.

Refirb'd Dells are easy & cheap to come buy, so is used. Why buy new?

And the refurbished Dell machines from Dell Outlet Business are current generation, generally unused. If you want a Dell it's a great place to shop. It's in their DFS Direct store where you find machines a generation or more old, generally lease returns.
