New engine installed, car runs.

My "new" 2.2 Ecotec is finally installed. The only problems were I didn't get the upper radiator hose tightened enough at first and I switched the plugs for the temp sender and VSS.

No codes thrown, runs great.

Initial oil fill was 5qts of 10w-30 PYB (got for free) + some MMO. I'm not sure how long I'll leave it.

Pennzoil synchromesh fluid in the transaxle.

Also of note, I used John Deere Cool Guard II (G05) instead of Dex-Cool. Just because I like to try different things.

It is supposed to have come from a 2004 Malibu with 86000 miles. Bought it from LKQ.

sounds good you should do a car fax on the engine vin to see what the mileage was at last time it was inspected or whatever the latest date
