How are they being used? Assuming air superiority and escort for the strike packages, given that Syria has announced unfriendly intentions toward our planes...

link? i thought they just wanted to have washington coordinate the strikes with them. kind of reasonable given that their sovereignty would be hugely violated otherwise.

Well, yeah. :] My question is what exactly they're going to do after they've penetrated said radar.

The news report I saw noted F-18s, F-16s, F-15s, and B-1s. Sounds like standard stuff for strikes. I was wondering if the F-22s were doing some of the strike work as well or if they were just for air superiority stuff.

Obama said no troops will be brought into Syria, that is no new boots on the ground. Later the comment was made that troops could be "transferred". More double talk?

Well if SF is in Syria as advisors how would you define it? The opposition has no problem playing the semantics game. (I'm sure the chain mails from the tin foil hat groups are just waiting to be sent out).

Good. You will see a post from me in a few minutes why arming and training(assuming this was feasible to fight ISIS in the first place) the Free Syrian Army is absurd.
