Ok, after years of buying really cheap $1.99 windscreen fluid I'm fed up.
I used to use the cheap stuff year round for fear of cold snaps freezing my reservoir (it takes me over a month to use a jug, and the CDN Fit holds a whole jug.)
Now, I found out in the past year that the cheap Winter blue WW fluid during the Summer months GLUES the nitrile OEM blades to the bottom of the windshield just above the cowl.
So, every time before I got into my Fit I had to remember to YANK the blades off the glass as they were stuck there and I didn't want to break my linkage or damage the wiper motor.
So I purchased Summer fluid for the first time in my life, I got Rain X Bug WW fluid.
AND, no more wipers sticking to the glass. And also the pump and nozzles seemed to operate better like it was cleaning them or something, or the Rain-X teflon lubricates better.
So I spoiled myself today when at CT on a rainy day out here in Dorion.
I bought, not one, but TWO jugs of Reflex De-Icer -49C wiper fluid.
I got fed up of the cheap stuff "crystalising" on the glass when you are trying to just drive off to work on a moderately cold day. -10degC and you can't see.
I can't wait forever till the glass warms up, so I bought this stuff.
I'm not rich, but I am certainly getting too old for cheap WW fluid in such a bad climate.
Thoughts?
