Dodge made intake manifold out of a variant of plastic .people complained but let me tell you those are the best if used properly.since not many mechanic met those you can guess how bad it went

Anytime I get a broken/leaky plastic end tank, the all-aluminum goes in. My Dodge and my Caprice haven't given me a reason to, yet, but I might do it just so I won't have to worry, given the high miles and all.

Radiator life depends on what radiator you have. Almost all Japanese cars have the worst radiators, and high end German cars tend to have the most durable.

Anyway, the only thing I would ever do is replace the radiator. I once worked on a Cadillac where the radiator was patched with epoxy. It extended the life of the radiator, until the transmission cooler let ATF into the transmission. That was an expensive disaster.

The radiator tanks are made from glass-reinforced nylon, a plastic that features a high-softening point.
