^^^ LoL, what? ... he cut the can open with a filter cutting tool. You can see a dent on the dome end in the 4th photo from the top - that was the only damage.

Nope. It came apart just like that as it hit the ground.
Judging from the first photo, the pleats look to be very closely spaced.. Who knows about the seam though. They are normally a bit more wider.
Good looking filter for under $4. Won't tear and bypass dirty oil either while used under normal operating conditions.
I got it free with an oil change special, I wasn't planning to run it on my sister's Lexus. Not, sure why the photos disappeared. I didn't do anything with them.

I know right. Why couldn't they add an extra pleat or two? But, they worked great desluging the Lexus's engine. Planning to run toughguards from now on. It has a Fram HM fitler on it right now. Had major misfire issues and a torn valve cover gasket. Then I am running a Bosch D+ on it.
i still won't use a fram but now after so many years using purolaters we stopped buying them at the shop also for some china made drive works that seem well made my parts people sells a ton of the drive works.
