Wasn't aware of that. Noticed it when researching about 100LL alternative fuels, that the Dept of Defense procures ASTM D7547 91UL "Mogas" to fuel the Predator's Rotax 914.
 
87 octane no lead gas...

Wonder what the Navy is going to do when they start having drones on aircraft carrier decks?

Gasoline is flammable, then there is the delivery. Everything is JP5, JP8, or diesel...
 
It's 91. The Rotax 914 is turbocharged so I'm surprised it's not ASTM D4814 93.

I believe that all of the Rotax engines are approved for auto fuel without ethanol. The local guys use REC-90.

The oil change interval is severely shortened if 100LL is used.

The Navy isn't considering the Predator. The UCLASS is a big, jet, airplane.
