Hi,

One of the H7 bulb sockets in my saab had some corrosion (why I dont know because it was inside the light assembly, which is pristine and sealed, with no sign of moisture), causing the ground connection to come loose.

So I need to install a new H7 socket, and the ones from amazon come with pre-stripped pigtails. That means I need to do a butt splice, and I need something that is high temperature rated (the wiring in there is 105C rated).

Ive seen some that are crimped and then have integrated shrink tubing to fully seal the connection. I think they even have some glue or substance in there to coat the physical connection (some may even have solder). The thing with all that is that this is high temperature, inside a headlight assembly... So not sure if it is appropriate.

So, any recommendations?

Thanks!

Try posi connectors. No soldering and automotive approved. They have a watertite version too. Look on eBay.
