Best defense for medieval plate armored opponent?

A baseball bat across the back of the head, or upside the head would probably do the trick.

Arbalist. Think: crossbow, with the "bow" a utility-trailer leaf spring and the quarrel made of solid steel.

Historically, they would put a bolt through a shield, through a breastplate, through the dude wearing it, and through the BACK of the plate.
 
Going to be a bizarre world where .gov agents are running around with 1000 year old armor and weapons and you have a taser with working batteries.
